Notice

We would like to hear from The Society's State Deputy Chieftains who are hosting MacGregor Clan tents at any of the Scottish Games for the 2010 - 2011 seasons.  We see the use of this mailing list as a good opportunity to spread the word of where MacGregor's will be making a presence.  Provide us with your schedule of events and we'll list them in the next mailing.  (Send information to .) There will be a MacGregor presence will be at the events listed here.

We welcome your submittal of a brief summary of the success of your event to encourage others to attend a future MacGregor/Scottish event.

    January 28 - The ACGS will be at the San Antonio Burns' Nicht Dinner Dance.

Saint Paul, Minnesota
    February 18-19 - The ACGS will be at the Scottish Ramble, Landmark Center, 75 West Fifth Street, just east of River Centre, across from Rice Park, downtown Saint Paul, MN.

San Antonio, Texas
    March 30 - The ACGS will be at the Annual Tartan Day at the Alamo.  The ACGS will also participate in the San Antonio Highland Games to be held at the Helotes Fairgrounds, 12210 Leslie Road, Helotis, TX 78203 on March 31-April 1

Cayce (Columbia), South Carolina

    May 19 - The ACGS will be at the Minnesota Scottish Fair, Dakota County Fair Grounds, 4008 220th Street West, Farmington MN.

Fair Hill, Maryland
    May 19 - The ACGS will be at the 52nd Annual Colonial Highland Gathering.

Blairsville, Georgia
    June - The ACGS will be at the Blairsville Scottish Festival. [Note that site will be updated for 2012.]

Carlisle, Pennsylvania
    September 1 - The ACGS will be at the 8th Annual McLain Celtic Festival. [Note that site will be updated for 2012.]

Shakopee, Minnesota
    September 8-9 - The ACGS will be at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival: Highland Fling Weekend [Web site to be updated], Festival Fair Grounds, Shakopee, MN.

Charleston, South Carolina
    Mid-Septmber - The ACGS will be at the 41st Charleston Scottish Games. [Note that site will be updated for 2012.]

Tampa, Florida - Annual Gathering
    October 11-14, 2012 - Mark your calendar and start making plans now to attend the society's 2012 Gathering which will be held in Tampa, Florida over the weekend of 11-14 October 2012 at the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore, Florida conveniently located just two miles from Tampa International Airport, only five miles from Downtown Tampa and the Tampa Convention Center and is easily accessible from all major highways.  The hotel offers complimentary transportation to and from the Tampa International Airport (KTPA).  Festivities will start with a Chieftain's Welcoming Reception on Thursday evening.

    Sir Malcolm and Lady MacGregor arep planning to honor us with their presence.  Our Gathering weekend will be packed full of exciting activities from the Chieftain's Reception on Thursday evening to the Grand Banquet on Saturday evening when we'll install our next Chieftain.

Scotland - Annual Gathering
    Probably late July, 2014 - The next big international Gathering of Clan Gregor will be held in Scotland.  The Gathering will coincide with the 700th Anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.  This international Gathering of Clan Gregor, like those in the past, will likely be held in late July and is an event not to be missed.  It will be a great opportunity to meet fellow clan mates from around the world and to learn about where your Clan Gregor ancestors originated.  More information will be posted in the newsletter as the date draws closer and more information becomes available.
